About

My name is Elisabeth Yndestad. I sometimes also use my Tibetan name, Jamyang, wich was given to me by my teacher. I was born in Bergen, and  live here with my family and my two cats.

I have a background as a general teacher, musician, poet and mantra singer. I have released several albums, and have a degree in writing from the Writing Arts Academy in Hordaland, Bergen.

I am part of the Buddhist community Dolma Dharma (https://www.dolmadharma.com/), which works with various methods with a background in Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism mostly in Norway and Sweden. This community was started by my teacher Heidi Vestrheim (Lobsang Dolma), who in turn has received these precious teachings and methods from the venerable Tibetan Buddhist master, Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche.

I have worked as a mantra assistant for my teacher Heidi Vestrheim (Lobsang Dolma) for several years and am a trained Tibetan 5 element teacher at the Tibetan medical center Nangten Menlang. For more information on Nangten Menlang, and Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche and his teachings and methods, please visit their website:  (https://tulkulobsang.org/en/)

In addition, I also teach and guide in mindful creativity.

My approach

In a world where we have become more dependent on technology, the internet and social media, I want to create a safe space to work on going within ourselves, and taking a break from the  noise. I  offer a place, both individually and in groups, to take some time to prioratize ourselves, and create a space where we hopefully can maintain a genuine contact and relationship with ourselves. I have a desire to create an opportunity where one can explore how we affect both ourselves and the world around us, through a non-judgmental perspective. I always have a main focus on transformation through compassion, whether it is about our relationship with ourselves, our own feelings and thoughts, or how we relate to those around us. I teach and work with these methods in the hope of helping others to increase presence and well-being. By working with Tibetan 5 element practice, and expressing ourselves creatively, it can be easier to let go of tension and therefore also make it easier to be more present in everyday life. All teaching is from a Buddhist perspective, and a continuation of what I have learned from my teachers, but also through my own practice and experience.
